Doctor
Robert M. Lofton Dr. Lofton is a Louisiana native who graduated from LSU with a degree o Science before attending Veterinary School at Auburn University. His passion for Veterinary Medicine is reflected in the fact that he aquires more than 50 hours of Continuing Education each year. He has an interest in both medicine and surgery.
He is involved in organized medicine and has served at every level from local, state and national levels. Giving back to the profession is very important to him.
He and his wife, Lela, started the clinic in 1974. They have one adult son, 2 dogs and one great cat. They love to travel and to work in their yard. He also is involved with his church, Trinity Baptist Church where he teaches newly weds.
Being a veterinarian is a very satisfactory life for him - he loves to go to work each day.

Dr. Karyn Goeckel is the daughter of Jon and Laurie Goeckel. She has one sister, Gwen and a special friend, her Springer Spaniel, Kicks. Raised in Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Goeckel is a 1993 graduate of LSU-SVM where she pledged the Delta Kappa Chapter of Zeta Sorority. Her association affiliations include AVMA, AAHA, LVMA and CVMA.
Her favorite pastime is playing tennis with the Lake Charles Raquet Club. She is an avid LSU sports fan but especially loves LSU football, Geaux Tigers!!!! |

Lela has been married to Dr. Robert Lofton since 1972 and has worked with him since he started the practice in 1974. She met Robert at Auburn University where they both attended college, her degree is in early childhood education but she has chosen to work with Robert at the clinic. Lela's companion pets are Elle and Annie, Cavilier King Charles Spaniels who go to work with her each day. Teka, the bob-tailed cat, stays home to prowl or sleep or do whatever she wants. |

Erica Funk Erica is a wonderful mother, she has a beautiful daughter, Ava. She enjoys spending time with her family. Erica's expertise is in surgical preparation and pet dentistry. She has 9 years veterinary care experience. She has three pets; Sasha a 12yr old Shih Tzu, Bandit a 4yr old DSH, and Fluffly a 17yr old DLH.
Brian Bailey Brian is from Bridge City Texas. He is a Senior at McNeese majoring in pre-vet. His hopes to go to Texas A&M for graduate school. Barbecuing and riding 4 wheelers keep him busy when not in school or working.
Ashleigh Knox Touchet Ashleigh has been a vet assistant with us for 3 months. She owns 3 dogs, Tink 1yr, Gypsy 4 months, and Elsie 9 weeks. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She likes swiming, dancing, hanging out with friends and riding a motorcyle with her husband.
